Introduction

The Aport-312 is a dual-port high performance Serial-to-Ethernet gateway which is designed for applications requiring quick, reliable and seamless integration of existing RS-232/422/485 devices to an Ethernet network.

Versatile Operation Modes

The Aport-312 provides a transparent data channel between serial device and the TCP/IP network, so that the serial device can be accessed through standard TCP/IP protocols.

The Aport-312 can behave as a TCP server, a TCP client or an UDP node on an Ethernet network to fulfill versatile application requirements.

Besides, users can enable Aport-312's heart-beat checking mechanism , which will re-establish the TCP connection every 5 seconds if network malfunction occurs, to keep the device stay connected as soon as possible.

Windows Virtual COM driver included

With the Virtual COM driver, the serial ports on the Aport-312 can be mapped as local COM ports on the remote host computer. Thus, no software modification is needed to benefit from modern TCP/IP networking technology.
