Artila Releases New Linux-ready Cortex-A7 System on Module M-X6ULL-B

Artila Electronics, which specializes in the development and manufacture of Linux-ready arm-embedded industrial computers, is pleased to announce Artila’s new NXP i.MX6ULL ARM Cortex A7 CPU core operating up to 800MHz Industrial grade speed with Linux OS. The new M-X6ULL-B is designed to meet the needs of many general embedded applications that require power efficient, high performance and cost-optimized solution, as well as embedded systems that require high-end multimedia applications in a small form factor, this cost-effective M-X6ULL-B is ultra-compact in size with the form factor of 50 x 80 mm. In addition, M-X6ULL-B has 128-pin connectors to allow extension of more I/Os for peripheral signals like two 10/100 Mbps Ethernet, LCD, CAN, UART, USB, SD, SPI, and I2C.

Linux kernel 5.4.x is pre-installed on the eMMC and the PREEMPT_RT patch provides a unique solution when real-time interactive interfaces and connectivity are crucial requirements. The M-X6ULL-B equips 24-bit digital parallel display interface supports resolution up to 1366 x768 and the touch controller can support 4-wire and 5-wire resistive touch panel which brings powerful touch-screen performance to the embedded users.

Artila team provides Comprehensive software packages such as PHP, Python, Perl, Node.js, and Node-RED which are available for free, and users can find the updates from Artila repository by using the apt-get command. The M-X6ULL-B system on module is integrated with 512MB DDR3 SDRAM and 16GB eMMC, which is ideally suitable for the cost & power optimized general embedded and industrial applications. The major target applications of this module are Industrial HMI & Access Control, IOT gateway, Industrial control & automation, and Test and measurement.
