Artila releases Linux-based ARM9 single board computer supporting LCD interface M-505
Developing solutions for Industrial HMI Applications is as easy as you think

M-505Artila Electronics, the leading designer and manufacturer of Linux-ready ARM9 industrial PC, is proud to announce the launch of M-505, an ARM9 Linux-based Single Board Computer.

M-505 is a standard 3.5” form factor ARM9 Linux-based Single Board Computer powered by 400MHz AT91SAM9G45 Thumb Processor with memory management unit, and equipped with 128MB SDRAM, 128MB NAND Flash, and 2MB DATAFlash. What makes M-505 stands out is it supports 1280 x 860 LCD and touch screen, and VGA output. This feature helps users to develop Linux solutions for applications where HMI (Human Machine Interface) is necessary. M-505 is also pre-installed with Linux 2.6.38 OS, busybox utility collection, lighttpd Web server, and various hardware device drivers. The GTK+ tool kit and qt4 embedded are also included to provide a user-friendly environment for the graphic user interface. M-505 also provides flexibilities in peripheral expansion by integrating one 10/100Mbps Ethernet, four USB 2.0 hosts, four RS-232/485 ports, and 16 GPIOs. The GNU C/C++ cross compiler is included in the development kit, allowing users to develop their application software in PC without the need to learn and purchase extra commercial developing tool.

Artila M-505 Linux-based ARM9 Single Board Computer combines powerful computing capabilities, large memory space, and high scalability, making it easy for users to develop their application without compromising the system performance. Flexible and reliable design leaves users worry-free when focusing on their application software development, reducing 80% of the development time and cost normally required.
